For fans attending live sporting events today, the game on the field is still the focal point and the draw, but there are now digital and mobile demands professional teams, colleges, and their venues must support.
Acknowledging these demands, the University of Florida deployed a purpose-built Wi-Fi network solution at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, or ‘The Swamp,’ with the goal of continuing to deliver a championship-caliber experience for Gator fans on game day. Hear from the team responsible for making this happen by watching the video below.
“Society today, they have high expectations. When they come to a sporting event they want access to good concessions, clean restrooms, and they want to can stay connected – all the things they can do at home. But they also look to have a different experience to go along with it. And so a lot of our focus has been allowing our fans to experience the event, not just watch it.” -Scott Stricklin: Athletic Director, University of Florida
